Following on from last years phase one works, we are pleased to have secured the second phase of the refurbishment works for the University of London’s, Connaught Hall Residence, situated adjacent to Tavistock Square in Bloomsbury, London.

This next phase presents further new challenges within the large and historic Georgian terrace, Grade II listed building, with Mellor Bromley being employed by Kent based, Neilcott Construction Group.

This second phase of the works is another fast track project, with the building due to be fully vacated throughout the summer period, enabling refurbishment of the main commercial kitchen area, basement, lower ground and ground floors of the building.

All existing mechanical services within these areas are to be completely stripped and removed, with new services and plant being installed throughout.

Mellor Bromley are currently gearing up for what is likely to be a challenging and demanding project, due to the age and nature of the building, and the speed in which the works will need to be carried out.
