This new development enabled the bringing together of staff and processes from two sites, whilst creating space for any potential future expansion of Albert Browne, a subsidiary of the US-based STERIS Corporation.

The facility uses three interlocking forms with asymmetric curved roofs containing the main production and storage building, whilst a lower block contains the office and R&D functions, reception and meeting rooms.

The project was let as a design and build package, with the Mechanical Services works including Gas, Water, Reverse Osmosis, Heating, Steam, Ventilation, Specialist Workshop LEV Systems, Air Conditioning, Glue Lines, Specialist Gases, Above Ground Drainage, Sanitary ware and BMS Controls.

The building was also one of the finalists in the 2018 pro-con awards.
