Oscott Manor School, located in Old Oscott Hill, Birmingham, is a SEND (Special Educational Needs & Disability) secondary school supporting pupils with autism and part of the DfE’s Priority School Building Programme.  Mellor Bromley will be working for Main Contractor, GF Tomlinson Building, continuing our successful working relationship.

Following demolition of the former ‘Bridge SEND School, the new two story modern education facility will be constructed containing teaching spaces for general practices, ICT Design, Technology, Science, Music, plus required staff areas.

This new project consists of new LPHW heating consisting of gas fired boilers serving radiators, DX cooling, hot and cold water services, mechanical ventilation (via local heat recovery systems), kitchen ventilation, natural ventilation system to Hall areas, BMS controls, sanitaryware and above ground drainage systems.

The scheme has been let to us on a design-and-build basis, with the overseeing consultant for the project being Anderson Green. 

The value for the mechanical services scheme is approximately £800k and the works are due for completion toward the end of 2021.
