Mechanical Services  Heating | Cooling | Air Conditioning | Ventilation | Water | Plumbing & Sanitation

We are pleased to have secured a further new project for the refurbishment of the North Laboratory within the Sutton Bonington Campus, University of Nottingham, awarded to us by Woodhead Construction.

Our works are currently progressing on site, as live services to the Ground Floor Laboratory & Dietetics areas are to be kept operable throughout the project. This follows a lengthy process of identification, isolation and de-commissioning of services from our initial detailed survey.

These services include various Medical Gases, Heating, Ventilation, Domestic Services, Drainage, Air Conditioning, Natural Gas, Vacuum and BMS Controls.

The project is expected to be both challenging, but rewarding in equal measure.

Mellor Bromley have employed the services of Mechanical Designers, QED, to prepare a detailed design and proposal for the Main Contractor.

The works form part of a second phase for the University of Nottingham and cover the Ground, First, Second and Third Floors, as well as Roof Level Areas.

The aim is to re-model a large office area into an open plan working laboratory, with mixed use offices and welfare areas.  The M&E services will be updated and configured to meet the modern needs of the University.

All M&E works are to be completed whilst the windows and external cladding are removed and replaced.

The programme of works is scheduled to take place from November 2018 until August 2019, with our project value in excess of £1 million.
